"Liebeswerben" Lecture at Merz Akademie

The project in winter term 2009/2010 titled “Liebeswerben” (“love-making”) dealed with the relation
between love and commodities.
The question was, how love and comodity are connected in the design of magazines, advertisment and retail
and how love is represented there. The artistic research project was accompanied by thematic lectures
by Eva Ilouz Book “Consuming the Romantic Utopia: Love and the Cultural Contradictions of Capitalism”
and Thorstein Veblen “The Theory of the Leisure Class”.

Biotop 3000 in person of Ronald Kolb teaches as a guest lecturer since October 2009 to date
at the Merz Akademie, Hochschule für Gestaltung.
